REAL Environmental Action & Leadership is an education video series focused on increasing awareness of the family farming community’s positive impacts on the environment. The goal of REAL is to show the greater community how working together to improve our environment benefits the entire community. These stories show how farmers are leading in the research and action of these efforts to create a more sustainable community for all of us. Each of the videos in the REAL series reach about 50,000 viewers. Learn more here: www.farmersforreal.org/

Whatcom Farm Circle is a field trip event hosted by Whatcom Family Farmers at the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds. We partner with many local farmers and other educational programs including Whatcom Conservation District and Washington State University Extension. Each fall, nearly 900 Whatcom County third graders come to learn all about Whatcom County agriculture. Students experience hands-on stations with lessons on locally grown products including dairy, berry, and potatoes. They also learn about the wildlife and water conservation actions on farms, and technological advancements of farmers. Learn more here: whatcomfamilyfarmers.org/education/

Real Food Real People Podcast is our newest effort to create community and build awareness of agriculture by connecting farmers and consumers. We believe it is becoming more crucial than ever to hear from the people who grow our food. We are in the midst of our third season of the podcast and the audience has grown to over 1,500 listeners per episode. Learn more here: realfoodrealpeople.org/

Over the last year, our community has continued to recognize the importance of food security. We believe it is equally important for everyone to have opportunities to learn where our food comes from, and to learn the process and all the elements involved in getting it to our tables. Our ability to educate our community relies on your support. We appreciate your consideration in sponsoring or donating to our auction and establishing a future for agriculture education.
